ABOUT FLUID ART
Fluid art, also called flow art or pour painting, is a form of abstract art that uses paint thinned with water and/or additives. Instead of working with brushes or traditional tools, the artist pours the paint mixture onto a surface. Different approaches to mixing, pouring, and moving the paints result in differing effects. The paints react, interact, and blend into beautiful and unique abstract patterns.

Sandwich Technique
The "Sandwich" technique involves layers of white paint along with layers of colored paint, poured from a cup onto the canvas. The paint is then moved and manipulated by picking up and tilting the canvas.
On Display
Completed series of 14"x14" paintings, displayed on a dining room wall.
Dutch Pour Technique
This painting was created using the Dutch pour technique. After paint is applied to the canvas it is moved and manipulated using air.
Jewelry
When creating fluid art on canvas, paint will drip off the canvas onto plastic sheeting. Paint may also be applied directly to sheets of plastic or silicone. The paint on plastic/silicone is dried into paint "skins." These skins are used to make jewelry, magnets, key chains, and other items.
